When discussing industrial hardware or software interfaces, we verify release notes directly with product teams and avoid speculative forum rumors. Unnamed sources appear only when industrial designers or studio employees require confidentiality to discuss sensitive corporate projects.

Review process

Every manuscript passes through two rounds of review by senior design editors before publication. Editors assess conceptual rigor, verify proper attribution for all visual assets, confirm copyright permissions, and ensure technical recommendations follow industry standards. Contributed opinion essays from outside practitioners undergo identical scrutiny to protect our standard of discourse.

Corrections

We correct factual errors promptly upon discovery or verified reader notification. When an article requires a material correction, such as an incorrect attribution, misspelled designer name, or flawed historical date, we amend the text and append a formal correction note at the foot of the piece stating what changed and when. Typographical adjustments that do not alter meaning are made directly without a formal notice.

Formist maintains strict separation between editorial decisions and commercial activities. Sponsored features, brand partnerships, or paid design awards coverage are labeled clearly with terms such as Sponsored Content or Paid Partnership at the top of the article. Advertisers and sponsors hold no influence over editorial verdicts, project reviews, or story selection.
